Laplander Folding Saw

Laplander Folding Saw

In our opinion, the Laplander folding saw is the best folding saw there is. Whether you are a hunter, a fisherman, a walker or just someone who loves the outdoors, it will very soon become an indispensable item. In fact, we are sure you'll begin to wonder how you ever got by without it.

We have trialled many other folding saws but none compares to the Laplander. Made by Bahco in Sweden it is specifically designed for the outdoors person. Only 9 inches long in the folded position and weighing just 6 ounces, the saw is small enough and light enough to fit into any pack.

Once in use, the Laplander shows its real value as its phenomenal cutting power saws through the toughest of woods. The plastic handle provides a sure and comfortable grip and, should it prove necessary, the blade can easily be changed.

We cannot recommend the Laplander saw highly enough and once you start using it, we're sure you'll agree.

Full sized saws

Folding saws are brilliant but there are times when something a bit more substantial is needed, especially when you are in real wilderness. Full sized saws are a massive step up in terms of cutting power, comfort and durability. The best saws we have come across in this range are those made by SILKY – just ask anybody who works with trees! They all seem to use Silky Saws.

There is one over-riding principle with Silky Saws – quality. And for a few extra ounces when compared to a folding saw, you get probably one of the best hand saws in the world. Once you've used one, we're sure you'll be delighted and amazed at how fast it cuts.

Note:  all saws come with a robust sheath. You do not need to press hard with Silky saws. All you need to do is to apply gentle pressure to the pull stroke – let the teeth do the work. All featured models are ideally suited to heavy duty use. The cut is always on the pull stroke, not the push. Always gently slide the blade forward. As with any saw, push hard and the blade may become stuck and break.

GOMTARO

GOMTARO

A professional saw that is ideal for all cutting tasks. There are 8 teeth per 30mm of blade, all precision ground and razor sharp, with 4 cutting angles along their length.

This ensures you cut amazingly quickly but leave a smooth cut surface behind. A tapered blade – thicker at the teeth, thinner at the back – reduces resistance giving smoother, faster and easier cutting performance. An exceptionally strong and well balanced saw.
